Rabastan only lightly considered that advice from Rodolphus as pertaining to him. Rabastan wasn't the best at understanding boundaries. Sure, his mother had established a lot of rules as to what he should and should not do, but he tended to block her out most of the time. In his mind, as long as he could rationalise it, it was perfectly fine.
